As part of the new Federal ESSA requirements, The MDE released graduation rates going back to 2012 for public school districts and public high schools across the state of Minnesota. Albert Lea Area School District had an increase in graduation rates of 13.23 % over this time period. This is in comparison to the State Average of a 4.3% increase.
Superintendent Dr. Mike Funk commented on the results, "This is one indicator of our focus on meeting the needs of each individual student. I am proud of the work our teachers, administrators, and support staff have done to prepare our students for life after high school."
