About the District

As superintendent to Albert Lea Area Schools, I am humbled by the opportunity to partner with each family in our community. We will continue to ensure the very best learning opportunities for each of our students while finding joy in each day. Our focus on the whole child will be essential after the last couple of years of interrupted learning and unknowns. Our goals of high quality core instruction, social emotional well-being of students and staff, and strong fiscal management will continue to enhance the excellence that already exists in Albert Lea Area Schools.

I will continue to lead in Albert Lea with the values of community and family. We will continue to strengthen our relationships with students and families while ensuring that our schools are the heartbeat of the city. Albert Lea is a beautiful community centered in family and we are fortunate to call Albert Lea home.  

As  superintendent, I am committed to accelerating excellence and opportunities for all. I am looking forward to continuing to listen to students, partnering with the community and ensuring our staff are part of a culture of excellence and high expectations. I am truly honored to serve as the superintendent of Albert Lea Area Schools where we live out our mission of: “Our Mission: To ensure individual academic, social and emotional growth that leads to engaged citizens and lifelong learners”.
