🎉📚 Today was Battle of the Books, and our 5th graders did a fabulous job! They came prepared, worked as a team, and showed great respect throughout the event. We’re proud to share that Halverson won the Sportsmanship Award and Lakeview answered the most questions correctly - congrats to all! 👏
A big shout-out to Coach Wescott for the dedication and support. Way to go, readers! 💙📖

Halverson was excited to welcome school board member MaryJo Dorman for a fun game of Bingo with our 4th and 5th graders! She generously donated books for students to win, and the excitement was contagious. Thank you, MaryJo, for helping our students head home with new books and big smiles!

Today was Incentive Day, and we had some very special guests leading the way — our Teachers of the Day and Principal of the Day! 🏫👩🏫👨🏫
Students who raised the most money for our Walk-A-Thon stepped into leadership roles, and our top fundraiser became Principal Neilson for the day! She did an amazing job celebrating staff with a rolling snack cart - complete with a beverage, something salty, and something sweet. 🥤🍿🍬
She even took time to observe classrooms and leave encouraging notes for our hardworking staff. 💬📚
We wrapped up the day with ice cream sundaes and extra recess because at Halverson, we know how to work hard AND celebrate big! 🍨🎈
Halverson Rocks! 💙🐾

Thank you to Mr. Munyer who came in today to talk to our 6th grade Minnesota history students about the Civil War. He had many artifacts giving students hands on experience!
