Today Austin Bruins hockey players visited our classrooms to read with students for I Love to Read Month! Our students loved seeing that reading can take you anywhere- from the classroom to the rink and beyond! ❤️💙🏒

Even with the cold weather, Literacy Night at Lakeview was a success! Thank you to our families for coming out, engaging in great conversations, and enjoying cookies and hot cocoa together.


Friday, January 23, 2026, will be an e-Learning Day. Students are expected to complete ONE Choice Board to be turned in to their classroom teacher no later than 3-days following the e-Learning Day. Please check your email for instructions on how to access a choice board if you do not already have a physical copy. Stay warm!

At Lakeview, Mrs. Seeger read Blizzard and challenged students to take the story further by programming robots to plow snow in their cities. Literacy meets creativity and problem-solving!





What a special day for our third grade multilingual learners at Hawthorne! Today they walked over to Thorncrest to read with our neighbors and were treated to a lovely performance by singers and guitar players. We love seeing our students build connections, practice their reading, and share smiles in our community! 💙📚🎶
