2nd graders at Halverson took full advantage of the weather (and the perfect snow!) to create this jolly snowman today. We work hard, work together, and GREAT things happen. ⛄️

We’re so excited to have our Tigers back in the building! 🐯 Our students are busy practicing math facts, focusing on story elements, diving into great books, learning new music, and reviewing expectations for a fantastic start to the new year. It’s great to see our classrooms full of energy, smiles, and learning! 💛💙

The days leading up to winter break were filled with so much joy around Hawthorne! From festive classroom activities and creative projects to laughter in the hallways and special moments shared with friends, our school was buzzing with excitement. 💙❤️

Students enjoyed celebrating together, making memories, and soaking up all the fun that comes with this cozy time of year. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, acts of kindness, and school spirit throughout the building. 🐯✨

⛸️❄️ Hawthorne 5th Grade Ice Skating Fun! ❄️⛸️

Our Hawthorne 5th graders hit the ice today, and let’s just say there were lots of falls, lots of laughs, and even more memories made! 😂💙 From wobbly first steps to cruising around the rink, students showed bravery, teamwork, and a great sense of humor, even when the ice won a few rounds. 😉

It was such a fun way to celebrate together before break, and the smiles made every slip worth it.

What a great day at Halverson Elementary! Fun painting projects, special treats, and lots of laughter filled our halls. The cherry on top was celebrating a positive office referral; so proud of our students and staff for making today such a joyful success!

Mrs. Fox’s class has been busy shining this week! ⭐️📚

Her reader’s theater group has been practicing fluency with expression, speed, and accuracy, and we are seeing lots of confident readers in the making. They also explored area in a tasty way by using Cheez-Its to build and measure shapes. 📐🧀

Students have also been showing off teamwork and community by playing card games together and having fun with exciting dress up days.

✨ Flashlight Friday Fun! ✨ The 4th graders in Mrs. Schewe’s classroom worked hard to earn Flashlight Friday! By teaming up to reach their goal of “20 smiles,” they earned a reward that builds joyful memories and strengthens their teamwork along the way. ❤️

💛 Shoutout to Lakeview's Student Council! 💛 A huge thank-you to our awesome Student Council for decorating and snapping photos at Lakeview’s fancy lunch today. They put so much heart into the details, and it really showed — the place looked amazing, and the pictures are priceless. We’re so proud of them! ✨📸

🍽️ Fancy Lunch at Lakeview! 🍽️ The kids had a blast at today’s fancy lunch — appetizers, “fancy” manners, and lots of giggles. It was fun watching them take it all in and enjoy something a little different from the usual routine. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a sweet part of their day! ❤️ 💚

🎥 Dress as your "favorite holiday movie character" today at Halverson was a hit! So many great costumes and creativity used, as we celebrate the season and our building community. 🎄

Halverson’s Office Reindeer showed up today and was busy at work with no time to play! We hope everyone enjoyed a warm and safe eLearning day at home. Remember to bring your completed Bingo Boards to school.
