Today, our 3rd graders took a special trip to visit our neighbors at Thornecrest. Students shared smiles, songs, and gratitude as they sang Veterans Day songs to honor those who have served.
It was a beautiful moment of connection, kindness, and community. We are so proud of our students for spreading joy and showing appreciation. 💖✨

Sibley hosted its first Kindness Counts Family Night, where students and their families came together to create heartfelt cards for our friends at St. John’s Lutheran Community.
🤍Halverson LOVES our Readers' Theater performed by senior volunteers once a month. We are thankful for their willingness to share their love of reading and inspire our students. 📚

At Halverson, we are so proud of our amazing fifth graders! Three of our students received Honorable Mention, and one earned 3rd Place in this year’s Fire Safety Poster Contest! They explored then and now through sorting activities, learned some classic 1950s dance moves, and even read books written in the ‘50s! 📚✨

🫛 Halverson 5th Graders are dressed like idioms today. Figurative language is one of the 5th grade literacy standards, so why not have some fun with it. 👖

7th grade students are getting some work on their handwriting skills during history class today and tomorrow. They are pretending to be civil war soldiers writing a letter home right around the time of a civil war battle of their choosing.

🦺 5th graders at Halverson have the opportunity to participate in safety patrol before and after school. There are currently 30 patrollers and 3 captains. Members go through training and then work hard all year to ensure the safety of all Halverson students and families. 🦺

🦬 5th graders at Halverson learned about the beliefs and values of the Nez Perce (Nimiipuu) culture and the impact of westward expansion on their culture throughout module 1 of Wit & Wisdom. Today, students celebrated their learning by sampling some Nez Perce food and drink, as noted in one of our texts from the module. 🍓

Teamwork makes the math work at Hawthorne Elementary, where students are building confidence and mastering their math facts together! Our Tigers are empowering one another by sharing strategies, celebrating success, and proving that learning is better when we do it as a team! 🐾💙❤️

Lakeview celebrated an amazing Walkathon success with our Principal and Teachers of the Day. Students and staff had a great time and enjoyed every moment together. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this celebration such a fun and memorable event for our school community.

Last week, our students celebrated their Walk-a-Thon reward with an exciting Glow Dance Party! 🕺💃 The cafeteria was filled with glowing lights, laughter, and amazing dance moves from our Tigers.
💡 Some students also had the special honor of being Teachers of the Day. They helped lead their classes, took attendance, and even joined teachers for lunch in the lounge. They did an incredible job stepping into the teacher role for the day!
We’re so proud of our hardworking Tigers and all the fun ways we celebrate their effort and school spirit. 💙🐾❤️

Lakeview students were all smiles today as they enjoyed lunch around our new lunch tables from Southwest! The fresh look has brought lots of excitement and chatter as students settle in at their new spots. We love seeing their energy and joy during lunchtime!
