Yesterday our Hawthorne kindergarten students had an exciting fall field trip to Taylor Kids Pumpkin Patch. They picked pumpkins, explored the farm, and even got to play at the all-inclusive playground. It was a fun day of learning and play! 💛🍁

A big shout-out to our amazing Albert Lea Fire Department for visiting Hawthorne last week! Our students were all smiles as they learned about fire safety, explored the fire truck, and met the real-life heroes who keep our community safe. 💛

Our 4th graders had an amazing adventure today at the Humane Society! This real-world experience tied perfectly to their Wit & Wisdom lessons inspired by the book Love That Dog. After meeting some furry friends and learning how we can help animals in our community, they enjoyed a picnic lunch at the park.

The first graders at Halverson had an exciting visit learning all about what it’s like to be a firefighter! They loved exploring the equipment, seeing what’s on the fire truck, and discovering how firefighters stay safe while helping others.

What an amazing Lakeview Walkathon day! It was so special to see the joy on our students’ faces as they worked together to reach our fundraising goal. A truly great day for Lakeview!

History Day at Freeborn County Historical Society. ALHS students teach lessons to elementary students from Halverson Elementary, Wells Elementary, and Hollandale Christian School.

🌾🐄🐖 Hawthorne 3rd graders had an amazing day at the farm yesterday! They explored agriculture up close by meeting animals, asking questions, and discovering where our food comes from. A big thank you to Larcrest Holsteins for making this hands-on learning experience possible! 🐾

Halverson’s 4th graders didn’t just do the math today—they chalked it up to creativity! ✏️✨ With sidewalks as their paper and chalk as their pencils, they took area models outdoors, proving that learning can be colorful, hands-on, and full of joy.
